Happy New Year to all of our guests from the New Continental team.We had a fantastic festive response in 2013, the hotel was decorated beautifully by our venue dresser, Charlie Partridge and there was a warm, cosy Christmas buzz in the air throughout the whole of December. Our reception area in particular looked like a winter wonderland. We have had a lovely response from all our Christmas parties and we have already received enquiries and bookings for Christmas 2014!

We had our annual Christmas break from Boxing Day and reopened feeling revived and refreshed on the 2nd January.

2014 marks a very special land mark for us here at the New Continental. It is our 30th year of business as a family which we are extremely proud of and look forward to celebrating. As well as birthday celebrations we have some great events lined up throughout the year. In March we are sponsoring Radio Plymouth’s black tie ball. The event is to raise money for their Promotions and Events Co-ordinator Jemma's St Luke's Hospice Plymouth Machu Picchu Challenge, Peru in May.

Before Jemma goes on this Challenge in Peru with St Lukes Hospice she has a target of £5000 to raise. There will be a full evening of food and entertainment and only £35.00 per ticket. For tickets please email Jemma at: jemma.jones@radioplymouth.com .

We will soon be announcing a date for our annual Wedding Fayre. 2013’s fayre was a great success and we’re looking forward to putting on another fantastic event and showing off exactly why we are one of the city’s most popular wedding venues.

Our 2014 events diary is already packed full with weddings, proms, birthday parties, charity balls and even Christmas parties. We are looking forward to putting on some great events and making 2014 a year to remember.
